ಹಕ್ಕಿ ಮುನ್ನರಿಯುವುದೆ ತನ್ನ ಪಯಣದ ತೆರನ? |
ಇಕ್ಕುವರದಾರದನು ಕರೆದು ತಿರುಪೆಯನು? ||
ರೆಕ್ಕೆ ಪೋದಂತಲೆದು, ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದುದನುಣ್ಣುವುದು |
ತಕ್ಕುದಾ ವ್ರತ ನಿನಗೆ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||
