ಮುಸುಕಿಹುದು ಹುಟ್ಟಳಿವುಗಳ ಕಾರಣವ ಮಬ್ಬು |
ಮಸಕಿನಲಿ ಹುದುಗಿಹವು ಮೋಹಮೂಲಗಳು ||
ನಿಶಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಹುದು ದಿನಪಚಂದಿರರ ಹುಟ್ಟೆಡೆಯ |
ಮಿಸುಕುವ ರಹಸ್ಯ ನೀಂ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||

musukihudu huTTaLivugaLa kaaraNava mabbu |
masakinali hudugihavu mOhamUlagaLu ||
nishi mucchihudu dinapachandirara huTTeDeya |
misukuva rahasya nIm - mankutimma ||

Veiled are the reasons for birth and death by darkness;
The sources of desires are all hidden in the gloom;
The night covers up the birth of the Sun and the Moon;
Sparkling secret are thou - Mankutimma.
